Background

BlueCare is one of Queensland’s largest and most trusted providers of aged care, disability support and retirement living. While widely recognised for its home care services, its retirement villages were underrepresented in the market.

The organisation needed to reposition retirement living to appeal to a younger, more active retiree audience and move away from traditional aged-care perceptions. The opportunity was to reframe retirement as a positive new life stage and highlight the vibrant communities across BlueCare’s network of villages throughout Queensland.

Our Solution

We developed a new brand platform, “Start your next chapter with BlueCare,” reframing retirement as a new beginning rather than an end of independence.

Authentic storytelling became the centre of the campaign, featuring real residents and their experiences across BlueCare villages. The strategy was supported by refreshed digital experiences, social content and a multi-channel media campaign including television, outdoor, radio, BVOD, programmatic and native advertising. This integrated approach allowed BlueCare to connect emotionally with prospective residents while showcasing the lifestyle and community offered across its retirement living portfolio.

Results

The campaign delivered exceptional results across BlueCare’s retirement living portfolio. All villages reached full occupancy for 2025, with waiting lists extending into 2026.

Marketing performance also improved significantly, including a 15% uplift in assisted awareness and a 40% increase in engagement across Meta platforms. By combining authentic storytelling with targeted media, the campaign successfully shifted perceptions of retirement living, strengthened emotional connection with audiences, and positioned BlueCare as a leading provider of vibrant, community-focused retirement lifestyles.
